How long does a crypto swap actually take?

Most swaps finish in minutes. The exchange itself is quick; what you are waiting for is two blockchains agreeing that money moved.

Where the time goes

1. Your deposit confirming. This is the bulk of it, and it depends entirely on the sending chain and the fee you paid.
2. The exchange. Seconds, once the deposit is confirmed.
3. The payout confirming on the receiving chain.

Rough expectations

• Fast chains such as Solana, TRON or TON: often under a minute.
• Ethereum and the networks built on it: a couple of minutes in normal conditions.
• Bitcoin: ten minutes per block, and usually more than one block is wanted.
• Monero: around twenty minutes for the confirmations it expects.

If an order looks stuck, check the deposit transaction on a block explorer first. An unconfirmed deposit means the sending chain has not accepted it yet, usually because the fee was too low. Nothing at Swap Heaven can speed that up.
